Rosie the Riveter was originally propaganda made during WWII to help encourage production within America. During the past few decades, however, it has become a symbol for inter-sectional feminism, which is an innately collectivist ideology. This is an individualist take on the co-opted propaganda, instead of the message "We (women as a class) can do it!" it is "I (as a powerful individual) can do it!"
